June 4, 1972
(The following was submitted to the Comanche Chief,
June 8, 1972)
The 13th homecoming at Indian Creek Church was well attended
June 4. Some came from as far away as California, Washington, and Hawaii.
President Mervyn Bowman had died during the year so Vice-
President Brady York presided. Each person stood and introduced
themselves and where they were from. Cleo Tuggle Hensold,
granddaughter of the late Thomas Tuggle, came the fartherest, Hawaii.
Bea Allen Kintner came from Washington, and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Redwine
from Fresno, California. Also, Ellis McDonald, Delano, California.
Brady York was elected as president and David Luker as
Vice-President. The same slate of other officers and committees were
elected.
A violin solo, Sunrise, was played by David
Luker, accompanied at the piano by Guy Redwine.
A memorial service for those deceased during the year was held
with a special song Gathering Home.
The meeting was climaxed by the song Amazing Grace
led by Lewis Redwine accompanied by Guy Redwine and David Luker
on the piano and violin.
After the program everyone gathered under the tabernacle for a
bounteous lunch with food left over. Thanks were offered by O.D.
Johnson of Gustine.
