Meeting Minutes
June 06, 1999

Opening:

The annual meeting of the Indian Creek Cemetery Association was called to order at 10:00 am on June 6, 1999, at the Comanche Community Center by L. B. Bowman, President.  Rev. Lloyd Coker gave the invocation.

A.  Approval of Minutes

The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as read.  Treasurer's report was given by Gail York, Treasurer.  The Association has a total of $42,000.00 in the CD account and a total of $4,304.00 in the checking account.  Treasurer's report was approved and accepted.

B.  Old Business

L.B. Bowman stated that he and his farm workers had spent about two days cleaning up cemetery and filling in several graves.  If possible, he would like to build restroom at the cemetery.

Wayne Parsons II reported that Indian Creek Cemetery site is now available on-line thru Comanche County Telephone Company local web site.  The history of the Indian Creek Community will be on record in the Texas Wesleyan College.

C.   New Business

Motion was made by LaVelle Parsons and seconded by Margaret Bowman that $2,000.00 be transferred from the checking account to the permanent CD fund.  Motion carried.

Motion was made by LaVelle Parsons and seconded by Lloyd Coker that a professional exterminator be hired to spray the cemetery to control weeds and grasses.  Motion carried.

Motion was made by LaVelle Parsons and seconded by Carol Williams that reservation for next year's meeting date be made at the time the Community Center's key is returned.  Motion carried.

Gail York stated that he would contact the Comanche County Commissioners and ask that the parking area of the cemetery be bladed.

Wayne Parsons II made motion that present officers be retained for 1999 - 2000.  Carol Williams seconded the motion and motion carried.  Officers for 1999 - 2000 will be L.B. Bowman, President;  Gail York, Treasurer;  Faylene Brown, Secretary.

Oldest person in attendance was Lloyd Coker and R.C. Isham at 88.

Person traveling the fartherest was Lloyd Coker from Corsicana, Texas.

D.  Agenda for Next Meeting

Next meeting will be held on the first Sunday of June, 1999.

Meeting was adjourned at 12:00 pm  by  L. B. Bowman. The next general meeting will be at 10:00 am on the first Sunday in June 1999 at the Comanche Community Center, Comanche, Texas.  Benediction was given by Glenn Bowman.
