Meeting Minutes
June 03, 2001

Opening:

The annual meeting of the Indian Creek Cemetery Association was called to order at 10:00 am on June 3, 2001, at the Comanche Community Center by L. B. Bowman, President.  Glenn Bowman gave the invocation.

A.  Approval of Minutes

The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as read.  Treasurer's report was given by Gail York, Treasurer.  The Association has a total of $3,414.30 in the checking account at Texas Bank of Brownwood, Texas.  It has a CD of $27,000.00 at Texas Bank, a CD with Brownwood Investment Company for $10,000.00, and a CD with Comanche National Bank for $10,000.00 for a total of $47,000.00 in CD's.  Motion was made by Edward Isham and seconded by Wayne Parsons II to accept and approve Treasurer's report.  Motion carried.

B.  Old Business

Cemetery report given by L.B. Bowman and it was noted that American and Confederate flags had been placed on the veterans graves at the cemetery.

C.   New Business

Motion made by Wayne Parsons II and seconded by Dale Biggs to have Gail York contact the JP and/or Sheriff to inquire as to proper procedure to follow to have the hay, which has been stored on the ICCA property, moved so that the property can be mowed and maintained.  Motion carried.

Motion was made by Venetia Scott and seconded by Edward Isham to buy a load of gravel to be stored and used at the cemetery.  Motion carried.

Motion by Venetia Scott and seconded by Robert Williams to have Gail York check on possibility of constructing an arbor on the church property site.  Motion carried.

Motion made by Carol Williams and seconded by Wayne Parsons II to retain the same officers for the year 2001 - 2002.  Motion carried.  Officers for 2001 - 2002: L.B. Bowman, President; Gail York, Treasurer;  Faylene Brown, Secretary.

Motion made by _______________ seconded by _______________ to appoint Edward Isham and Wayne Parsons II as ICCA directors.  Motion carried.

Those that have died:  Lloyd Coker, Paul Luker, R.C. Isham, and Faye Harris.

The oldest person attending was Glenn Bowman.

Person traveling the farthest was the Coker family from Corsicana.

D.  Agenda for Next Meeting

Next meeting will be held on the first Sunday of June, 2002.

Meeting was adjourned at 12:00 pm  by  L. B. Bowman. The next general meeting will be at 10:00 am on the first Sunday in June 2002 at the Comanche Community Center, Comanche, Texas.  Benediction was given by Glenn Bowman.
