Meeting Minutes
June 04, 2006
Opening:
The annual meeting of the Indian Creek Cemetery Association
was called to order at the Comanche Community
Center by L. B. Bowman, President. Glenn Bowman gave
the invocation.
A. Approval of Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously
approved as read.
Treasurer's report was given by Gail York, Treasurer. The Association has a total of $1,674.58
in the checking account at Texas Bank of Brownwood, Texas. It has two CD's
of $26,922.23 and $9,973.29 at Texas Bank and a CD with Comanche National Bank for $10,000.00. Motion was made to accept and approve Treasurer's report. Motion carried.
B. Old Business
No old business was discussed.
C. New Business
L.B. Bowman reported that erosion at
the cemetery is becoming much worse several graves are sinking.
The weeds have been poisoned.
Motion was made by Carol (Bowman)
Williams and seconded by Venetia (Coker) Scott that the
Directors assess the damage caused by the erosion and attend to those
that need immediate attention. Motion carried.
L.B. Bowman asked that a bill be sent
to Frank Hall dba Hall and Sons Funeral Home for $100 due
the Association for funeral expenses from the Neely family.
Motion made by LaVerne (Bowman) Dillashaw
and seconded by Edward Isham that a safety deposit box be rented
from Comanche National Bank where all pertinent papers of the
Association (Charter, deeds, etc.) be stored and that all officers sign
signature card with requirement that two signatures be required to
remove any items from the safety deposit box. Motion carried
Motion was made by Robert Williams
and seconded by LaVelle (Bowman) Parsons that the following
officers be approved for the coming year: President, Wayne T.
Parsons II; Vice-President, L.B. Bowman;
Secretary-Treasurer, Gail York. Motion carried.
Deceased since 2005 meeting was Mrs.
Horace Neely and Mr. James Buckler.

Edna (Allen) Buckmaster states that
she recently returned from a trip to Washington, D.C., where her nephew,
Admiral Thad Allen, was appointed Commandant of the US Coast
Guard. She stated that President Bush was in attendance at the
ceremony.
D. Agenda for Next Meeting
Next meeting will be held on Sunday of June 03, 2007, at
the Comanche Community Center.

Bowman after motion made by Margaret Bowman and seconded by Edward
Isham. Benediction was
given by Glenn Bowman.
